Privacy Policy

The short version: Good Trip does not collect, store, or share your personal information. The app works entirely offline. If you use the free version with ads, the ad network may collect limited device data as described below.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Good Trip itself collects no personal information. You do not create an account, and no data is transmitted to our servers. The app operates fully offline — all phrasebooks, guides, and travel content are stored locally on your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information.

Free Version — Advertising

The free version of Good Trip displays ads served by a third-party ad network (e.g., Google AdMob). The ad network may automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA/Advertising ID)
  • IP address and general location (country/region level)
  • Ad interaction data (views, taps)
  • Device type and operating system version

This data is collected and used by the ad network under their own privacy policy. We do not have access to or control over this data. You can learn more at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

The Premium Version contains no ads and no ad SDK data collection.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Since Good Trip does not collect personal information, we have no personal data to use. Any data collected by the ad network (free version only) is used solely by that network to serve relevant advertisements. We do not use it for any other purpose.

3. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell, trade, or share any personal information with third parties because we do not collect any.

The free version's ad network operates independently and is subject to its own data sharing practices. Please review their privacy policy if you have concerns about ad-related data.

4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Good Trip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

5. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Good Trip is designed for international travelers. Regardless of which country you are traveling to or where you use the app, no personal data is collected or transferred by us. Users in the European Union, California, and other regions with specific privacy laws are subject to the same data-free experience.

If you use the free version, the ad network's data practices may be subject to applicable regional laws including GDPR and CCPA.

6. DATA SECURITY

Because Good Trip does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data at risk. All app content — phrasebooks, guides, maps, and emergency information — is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or if legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms and Conditions

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading or using the Good Trip application, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app.

2. USE OF THE APP

Good Trip is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You are not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn't try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions.

The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to the developers of Good Trip.

3. CONTENT AND OFFLINE USE

While we endeavor to ensure that the information provided in the app (including phrasebooks, guides, and emergency info) is accurate and up-to-date, we cannot guarantee its absolute correctness. The app is designed to work offline for your convenience, but you are responsible for ensuring your device has sufficient storage and battery life during your travels.

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The developers of Good Trip shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or the inability to use the app or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services or resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the app.

5. GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
